Youth' hush thine ear for a moment • To the ravening roar of the ivoild, To the laugh and the scorning that foment The strife while our flag hes unfurled; Aye l bend Fhmc head m abasement, Regret for a glory that's past, Droop the glance that was r.nscd m amaze ment, And pray for this land to the last. Yet cherish the spring that is vital, That luxury tends to suppress , Our warriors call for requital, And bloodshed cues out for redresa. Soon will have vcars by a hundred Passed since Horatio fiew The banner of one who ne'er blundered, The flag of the Red, White, and Blue. BJest be the memory that summon^ That still "expats England to do" To instantly pmfrsh those "sonicoues" Who blunder while other may rue.
