THE GORE SUMMER MEETING.

The exoellent nominations received for the Gore. Racing CluVs summer meeting have caused a good deal of interest to be taken in [the' meeting, and no doubt the judicious .eurtailnVent of the cost of nominating and accepting for the various events has o been, the partial cause of the pleasing list which, the secretary had to drat out. Koputai is a very harshly-treated" horse in the Oroydon Handicap, in which Lady Soult should prove hard to beat. Wonderful has been allotted th© post of honour in the hurdles, .but as there is nothing of any note underneath him in the handicap, he should about win. Pallas stands out by himself in the Gore Cup, and the handicapper has emphasised that fact by allotting the- son of Chain Armour 10.3, and conceding 81b to Flower o' Clutha, who follows him in the handicap, but if De la Bey is in a galloping humour h© should prove the most dangerous candidate in the race, whilst Visionary coulct safely have been allotted three or four pounds more without spoiling the handicap. If Dundas trains on he should show up better than he did: at Invei-cargill, and in that event should have something to say in the decision of the First County Hand'ioap, whilst Lady Soult possesses a good winning chance in the Summer Handicap. A more definite selection will appear after the piiblication of the acceptances, which fall due on Saturday next..
