CHRISTMAS POST AND TELEGEAPH BUSINESS. WELLINGTON, December 29.
-The. following is a summary of the Christmas business for four days, 21st to the 24th inst., inclusive, at the four principal post and telegraph offices: — V
The number- of bags, parcel post" hampers, etc, forwarded and received from the four offices-"in question was 14-, 4-19. The number of letters posted afc the four centres of Auckland/ Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin from 21st to Z4th December, inclusive, was 777,621, and the number of telegrams on the 24th December from the same places, 14-364.
