RIVERTON RFGATTA.

Tho Riverton regatta, held on Boxing Day, j wa9 moart successfully carried through, in | spite of the stiff breeze and consequent < rough water. The fields were much smaller | than last year, owing to the amalgamation of the two Riverton clubs and the absence of the Invercargill Railway and Awarua Clubs. The regatta was a trial of strength between the Invercargill and Riverton Clubs, and Riverton deserves every congratulation for its performance, winning every race except the Senior Fours.
