WELLIWTOX December 16.
The second wool sale of the season was opened to-day, when 5400 bales were catalogued. There wa3 a good attendance of buyers and those interested, and bidding was brisk. The total offerings from all brokers totalled about 5350 bales. The offering at this sale would have been very much larger if the present unsettled state of the weather had not ji»layed sliestricg Qoeratigaa, 2ii6 lygol
opened up brighter sbcl cleaner, and was lighte- m grease, than -usual. Bidding was very spirited for all lots, and prices were much the same as at the last sale. The following give an indication of the prices realised : —Super ha-lfbred, MKcl to 10id ; bright crossbied, 9id to 9^d ; medium crossbieds, Bid to 9d; inferior crossbreds, 7|d to 8W; beflies and pieces, 6d to 7d , locks, 4£d to 5d
