SYDNEY, December 15. At the Homebush sales sheep were lower. Best wethers sold at 15s 6d; good, 14s 6d; best ewes, 14sr 6d; good, 12s 6cl. Cattle were very firm. Best bullocks, £9 103 ; good, £8 15s; best cows, £7 10s; good, £6 15s. Best beef, 22s 6d per 1001b. December 19. At the Homebush sales sheep were a little dearer. Crossbreds were scarce. Wethers sold at 13s 3d to 14s 7d ; best ewes, 15s to 17s 6d; good, 13s 6d to 14s. In cattle the values of better classes were firmer. Best bullocks sold at £&' 15s to JE10; good, £8 15s; be"st cows, £7 10s to £9 6s; good, .£6 Jss. Beef, 21s 6d per 1001b. MELBOURNE, December 15. The demand for hides continues brisk, but rates aie unaltered. Tallow is steady. There are local and shipping inquiry at last week's rates.
