INVERCABGILL, April 4. At the Eiverton races 10-day the attendance and the totalisator taking 3 were better than usual, despite the rain. Results: — Hack Hurdles. — Snapshot 1, Flirtation 2, Canary 3. Maori Jack fell and Andy Regan ran off. Dividends, £2 10s and £1 13s. Maiden Plate.— Captain Kettle 1, Ocean Shell 2, Maydew 3. No dividends sent. Maiden Steeplechase. — Happy Jack 1, Cody 2, Struggler 3. Dividends, £1 2s and £1 6s. Riverton Handicap. — Tugela 1, Bluestone 2, Hairtrigger 3. Dividend, £1 18=. Open Steeplechase.— Pipi 1, Maori Jack 2, I Agent 3. Dividends, £1 6s and £1 ISa.
Flying Handicap. — Avenue 1, Hypnotist 2, Kotokoto 3. Dividend. £1 18s. Farmers' Plate.— Pellet 1, Waimea 2, Briny Breeze 3. Dividend, £3 13s.
