FEILDING, April 4. The weather was fine and there was a record attendance. The club has spent over £1000 on a stewards' stand and alterations to the totalisator house and increased the stakes to £500. Results: —
Ranfuily Handicap. — Ballarat 1. Black Reynard 2. Rehua 3. Scratched: Rustique. Ballnrat led all the way, and won by a full length. Time, lmin, 17scc. Dividend, £2 113. Maiden Hack Plate.— Gold Trip 1, Sylvrie 2. Nab 3. Scratched : Houhou and Florio. Gold Trip came up in the straight, winning easily. Time, 2min 1 4-osec. Dividends, £2 10s and £2 18s.
Kawa Kawa Hurdles.— Mourner 1. Otairi 2, Killarney 3. A gocd lace. Time, 4inin 1 2-ssec. Dividends, j£7 18s and £1 19s. Taoivui Hack Hurdles.— Pushful 1, The Gucsssr 2, LLssa 3. Scratched: Toledo. Won cosily. lime, 3min 21 l-ssec. Dividends, £4 12s and 16s.
Feilding Cup.— Cyru--s 1, Heroism 2, Hinetaura 3. Scratched: Asteroid and Tercelel. A splendid raca. Won by a short head. Time, 2min 37 3-ssec. Cn the totalisator, £2517. Dividends, £'>5 ar.d £1 17s. Onepuhi Hack Welter. — Tomoiangi 1, Kai Petipeti 2, Rouble 3. Scratched : Florio. A close finish. Time, lmin 45 l-sscc. Dividends, m 3s and £1 9s.
Halcombe Welter.— Dexterity 1, Glory 2, Roscshoot 3. Scratched: Handsome Rose and Rehua. Dexterity took the lead in the straight and won easily. Time, lmin 44 2-ssec. Dividends, £3 Is and £2 l"s. Onga Hack Handicap.— Go'.dwai 1, The Gift 2. Waikakaho 3. All started. Won easily. Time, lmm 7ssc. Dividends, £3 8s and £2 15s.
The total on the machine wes £16.427, as against £11 9aß for the firsts day oi last year, and constitutes a record.
