ROXBURGH, July *. ' Owing to the strong winds prevailing during - the week the river yesterday ros-a considerably, going up between 3ft and 4ft. It has fallen again a good bit, and is still receding. Owing to the rise the Endeavour dredge had to stop ioi a time, but is working again tow. The rise has set a lot of drift running, but thi3 is likely to stop soon as the weather has turned frosty •gain. Mr Robert Williamson, of Miller's Flat, leaves here at once for Victoria to manage t dredge there.
