BLENHEIM SHOW.
BLENHEIM, November 19. The agricultural and pastoral show opened to-day in good -weather. The entries show an increase of 30 per cent on those of last year, constituting a record, and the show is an unprecedented success, despite the backward season. The shetfp make up the best exhibition ever seen here, and there is a big collection of agricultural machinery. Apart from local exhibitors of sheep, Measr* 6. and A. Hunt, of Nelson, were the most successful outsiders, gaining 10 prizes in Romneys and English Leicester*, and showing a champion English Leicester erwe. The weather is promising for the people's day to-morrow. November 20. Fine weather was experienced for the second day of the A. and P. Association's show, and the attendance was the largest ever seen here. The show of horses and farm and dairy produce was excellent. Cattle and pigs were weak. Mr May (Nelson) took first prize for factory bacon and hams.
