November 20. — Up to quite recently we hava had very changeable weather here. Sometime^ wo get apring, summer, jutumn, and winter weather all thrown into one day Mo3t of the farmers art busy ju3t now sowing th^ip turnipa, and ther«fore a good day'r rain It present would be much appreciated. Crops. — The crops are looking well, and tho young grass has come away in abundance-, with the natural result that the nnlk supply, at the creamery is daily rapidly increasing; »nd there is now much need of the long-pro^ mised additional separator. Church 3uild. — In August last Ladies* Guild was started in oui district foi the vr j pose of raising funds for a church. \is guild has for its president Mrs R. Gc.ow; treasurer, Mrs M. M'Clea; and secretary, JliVl G. M'Clea. So far the guild hat accomplished! much for the objeofc for which it was commenced. Besides having a> large nurcber ofl garments, sox, etc., ready /or sale, its mpmbars have collected (I have it from good authc« rity) somewhere between £60 and £80, v. Hc'-J speaks volumes for th« energy tact, and business capacity of its lady members An acra of the school reserve has also been purchased! by the Church Board of Property for building purposes, se that in a few monthr hence Atd-' gowan will no doubt be further decorated by a nice 'it tie church.
