DEATH OF A NEWS PAP ER PROPRIETOR. AUCKLAND, August 17.

Mr J. L. Wilson, one of tlie senior proprietors of the New Zealand Herald, passed away this morning after a short illness, though he had been in failing health for some time. His brother, Mr W. S. Wilson, died on June 28. Deceased was for 20 years president of the Young Men's Christian Association.
