CHOLERA IN EGYPT.

The Caisjse de la Dette, Cairo, have granted £200,000 for the purpose of taking measures against cholera. One hundred and eighteen fresh cases are reported in Cairo.

CAIRO, July 28. Cholera is declining at Cairo.

Dr F. W. Hutchinson. the well-known scientist, is making a scries of balloon ascents from London and \icinily with a view to determine the nature of the bacilli Inhabiting the upner regions of the atmosphere. The microbes are collected by means of sterilised gelatine platC3, prepared from seaweed by a Japanese process, and exposed at different altitudes. So far, the results have been satisfactory, and many hitherto unknown germs have been discovered.
