The weekly meeting of the committee wa-s teld on Monday; present — Messrs Hutchison (president), Macdcn*ld, M'Laren, Hanlon, Harr.'a, Boss, Dtincaa, Wilkinson, Priest, Munro, Macassey, and Smith.

Permission was granted to the clubs in Oamaru to hold a seven-a-.-icle tournament on August 23 in aid of the Fallen Soldierb' MemoriaJ Fund.

Permission was granted to the clubs in Vincent County to play a match against I/ake County on August 23. It was decided that the Junior Flag competition be now clo?ed.

The Alhambra Club wrote asking the committee under what rule th' y have the power to transfer the High School team from one grade to another! — The letter was received.

A letter was received from the Otago Football Association thanking the committee for granting th?m the u-e of the Car r'brook Ground for the final cf the Charity Br.nner on August 2.

The Canterbury Union wrote informing the committee that .\lr A. C. Norris ha.i agreed to act as referee in the Otago v. Canterbury match. They also requested thiunion to make arrangements for a local referee for the Junior match Canterbury v. Otago.

- Messrs R. M. Isaacs and H. Treseder app r i^.d for a refund of the amount of £5 .which they claimed to have deposited towards the expenses of the 1887 team. — It was decided that they be requested to produce cvid^cice as to payment of the amount.
