DUNTROON.
May 10. — A large and enthusiastic meeting of residents of Duntroon and district was held in ]Orr's Hall to-night, for the purpose of discussing what should be done as a welcome to the troopers now returning from the front. The jßev. P. S. Hay was voted to the chair, and (after a lot of discussion it was decided to Biold a social in Orr's Hall when the three £ioopers come back, and that everybody turn tout on the evening of Trooper Earl's return, as be will be hero about three weeks before ,Trooper 3 Grant and Marsh. A large committee was formed to carry through the suggestions of the meeting. Weather. — The past week Jfas teen very dull, pot quite the ideal weather farmers would like, as they are busy carting clover. A week's sunshine would be very acceptable jus? now.
The interim dividend declared by the directors of Messrs Dalgety and Co. (Limited) was 8 per oent., and. iiot 3 j?er cent. °< printed ycifjlMV
