INTERPROVINCIAL MATCH
WELLINGTON, June 19.
The representative football match Wellington v. Nelson, played to-day, was won by the home team by 31 points to nothing. Nine tries were scored, two of which were converted. The visitors were outclassed at every point of the game, though the state of the ground may have had something to do with their poor display. The game was really a scramble in mud and water, which was ankle deep all over the field. It also rained heavily during the play.
