There, will be no meeting on Wednesdays until fuither notice, as on that night the loom is otl'erwiS3 engaged. The club is m a flouii«nmg conditioi, and some c\emngs, like la^t Saturday, the room gives one, on fir=t entering, the impression that a match is under way, as the lo.ng tables aio fully occupied. The membership might actually reach the hundred during the coming winter, as there is a ' irge number of players m town whose names ha\ a not yet been received, but who purpose joinm?, and aheady the membership boaid shows c\er 60 names. The question of a club tourney is to be brought up on Thursday evening, and a. match against the Peninsula players is on the tapis.
