SYDNEY AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
SYDNEY, April 3.
At the Agricultural show Mr John Grant, of Wallacetown, Southland, New Zealand, won the first prize and championchip for his bull Persimmon, beating Mr 'Angus, of South Australia, the principal 'Australian breeder. Mr Grant also obtained two seconds for his Ayrshire cows, Jris and Rosie.

In connection with the show a number of LA.yrshire cattle were offered for sale, on account of John Grant {Invercargill) and Thomas Parker (Dunedin). Grant's firstpriza cow Pride sold for 34 guineas, and Parker's second-mize bull Baden-Powell
for 33 guineas. The others ranged from six and a-half to 19 guineas. The bidding Was slow, and several were withdrawn.
' The attendance at the show was 65,000. The takings for the day amounted to £2860, far surpassing all records.
