Silver, 2s 3£d rer ounce. Tallow.— The stock is 18,670 casks, imports 51478 casks, and deliveries 5714 casks.

Copper.— Supplies 16,530 tons, deliveries 17,458 tons, stocks 28,231 tons, advised 2675 tons. Tin- Stocks 17,620 tons, on spot 6456 tons, af.oat 2107 tons, deliveries 2462 tons. t Wool.- — The arnvals for the third series are 256,000 bales, of which 50,000 bales were sent forward dire.ct. Available for sales, 264,000 bales. Wheat. — A cargo ex Norfolk Island sold at 29s 10* d, and ex Inverlochy 29s 9d. April 3. At the tallow sales 1800 casks were offered Itnd 1350 sold. Prices are unchanged. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,785,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,465,000 qaurters. At the kauri auctions 2683 cases were offered, and 700 sold. Three-quarter scraped (good) realised 120s. The quantity m stock is 1901 cases. The American visible wheat supply is 75,501,000 bushels. Lead is at £12 13s 9d.

The Bank of England returns show the stock of gold and coin to be £32,287,000. and the reserve £24,185,000. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 44.7 per cent. The notes in ciiculation total £30,094,000 ; public ' deposits. £10,300,000 ; other deposits, £38,,943,000 ; Government securities. £11.634,000; other securities. £34,176,000. The Bradford wool market is restricted. Common 60's, 18^d ; supers, 19d. Butter is quiet, and unchanged. All New Zealand mutton is l-16d per. lb lower.
