SOLUTION TOURNEY.
For the benefit of solvers there will every week be published a two-move problem, m addition to the competing three-mover. The two-movers will be selected from problems which have not already been published in Australasia, and solvers may, with considerable confidence, rely i pon their f-oundness. Three prizes will be offered for competition to solvers — one of 10s, one of ss, and one a miniature chessf^oard and men, serviceable for setting up problems and for playing games by corlesTJondcnce. Two points will be awaided to e\e"iy solver of a two-movei, and four points to evciy solvei of a thiec-mo\e problem. Pointing out a double solution ot any problem or t'l it it is. not solvable will count as equal to ficiiwiC2.> e.iid when tha easujfisei's solution
and a second solution are both pointed out, doub'e points v.ill be awarded Brief criticisms of both two and thiee-move pioblems are invited, and will be published simultaneously with the solutions oi the pioblems to which they refer.
