SOLUTION TOURNEY.
For the benefit of solvers theTe will every week be published a two-move problem, in addition to the competing three-mover. The two-movers will be selected from problems which have not already been published in Australasia, and solvers may, with considerable confidence, rely tpon their soundness. Three prizes will be offered for competition to solvers — one of 10s, one of ss, and one a miniature chess board and men, serviceable for setting up problems and for playing games by correspondence. Two points will be awarded to every solver of a two-mover, and four points to every solver of a three-move problem. Pointing out a double solution of any problem or that it is not solvable will count as equal to solution, and when the composer's solution and a. second solution aie both pointed out, double points JSilifr be- awarded. Brief criticisms of botH^wo and three-move pioblems are invited, and will be published simultaneously with the solutions of the problems to which they lefer.
