the rule, Mr Hugh Don being united in marriage to Mies Louie Grant. They were married in the Presbyterian Church, which v/as prettily decorated by the choir. The Key. P. S. Hay oniciated, and as the bridal party came up the aisle the choir sang the hymn "The voice that breathed o'er Eden." This "being the first marriage in the church, the bride was presented with the usual Bible, it being a very large and beautiful book. The bride wore a light cream dress and white veil. The fiist bridesmaid, sister of the bride, also wore cream. Miss Lizzie Taylor was also a bridesmaid. Mr Alexandei Richardson (Merton) acted as grcom. After the ceremony, as the bridal party left, Miss Hay, the organist, played the Wedding March. Showers of rice, etc., were thrown on the bride as she left the church. About 20 guests sat down to the wedding breakfast. At the invitation of the bride's parents about 200 guests met at a social at 8.30 p.m. in the hail, and an enjoyable'evening was spent. Songs were sung by Messrs H. King, G. Park, J. Grant, and G. Grant, and were greatly appreciated by the guests. Refreshments and wedding cake were passed around at 10 p.m., and supper at midnight, after which the happy couple left for their future home. Singing and dancing were kept up till 3 a.m., when the company broke up a most enjoyable evening by singing "Auld lang syne." The mus,ic was supplied by local ialent, and Mr J. Johristone and Mr D. Grant acted as M.C.'s. The presents were numerous end valuable.
