THE WAREATEA CLAIM. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, — Having had a number of inquiries from Dunedin and elsewhere re the Wareatea Gold • Dredging Company's claim, I thought it best to send the Otago Daily Time's a line, as -by so doing other shareholders like myself would be benefited. Having heard of the prospects obtained there and rumours abroad that it was - a beach claim, similar to the Coast leads, I determined io see for myself before speculating in any shares. On reaching the claim my im- " pressiohi were most favourable. The ' river, a. fairly large stream, runs through the centre of it, and is joined'by the Fairdown Creek. Both, the streams have evidently carried a rich deposit of gold down from the terraces above. There was no difficulty in obtaining a prospect
