PRIDE OF TUAPEKA DREDGING COMPANY.

An extraordinary general meeting of share-; holders in the Pride of Tuapeka Dredging Company was held at the Dunedin Exchange room! on the 19th inst. Mr Fred' Calvert (chairman of directors) presided, and 10 shareholders were present, others being represented by proxy. The Chairman stated that the notice which} had been issued to shareholders would show them that the company had Been offered the Greenvale claim, situated on the Pomahaka Rivei, some four miles beyond Heriot; and as the property -had been thoroughly tested it waa proposed to accept the offer, and hand the Tua-« peka Flat claim back to the vendors. On the motion, of Mr F. Calvert, seconded by Mr Robertson, it was therefore unanimously resolved — " TEat after receiving reports from?. Mr Uren and Mr Leslie Reynolds on the Tuapeka Flat claim (to take over and work which. k this company was originally formed), this com> pany decide to take no further steps towards, acquiring that property." „ acquire the Greenvale claim on the Pomahaka - Eiveri" The question of increasing the capital of the company by the issue of 500 £1 shares was discussed, but after calculating the cost of removing the dredge from Ettrick, necessary alterations, and re-erection it was decided that the present working capital (£3500) was quite suffijcient to meet all liabilities.
