PRAISE FOR NEW ZEALANDERS.

(From Ooft Own Cokkespoxdent. ) WELLINGTON, November 19. " "One sees -complimentary references to the New Zealand contingents in dozens of letters from the front. One such reference I saw to-day may be worth quoting, because it comes from a British officer -who is in the habit of speaking his mind very freely, and who is in no way addicted to over-praising. He writes : "It is simply extraordinary how "well the New ' Zealand and other colonials have done in this war. No regular troops have done better. I think it is imiversally admitted that for this sort of war the colonials are the best troops 'we have in the whole Empire. Even regular soldiers themselves admit this a though it goes rather against the grain to have to do so."
