The Antwerp wool sales have opened, buyers were numerous. The catalogues 'imbraced a good choice of clips. Half the offerings were sold at prices Z0 per cent, jelow those at the June _sales. MELBOURNE, November 15. At the wool sales competition was very and prices were good, merinos
and fine crossbreds being 5 per cent, better than last week. At the wool sales a large and snpeiior catalogue offered was all cleared. Competition was very keen. Americans were | eager buyers. The market is quiet at a farthing advance on >ast week. SYDNEY, November 14. At the wool sales all the colonies were \ represented. There was spirited compe- ! tition, and a hardening tendency among j the better classes. j November 15. | The wool saies closed brisk. Good classes were firm at late rates. Inferiors were ' neglected. | | CHRISTCHURCH, November 16. i The catalogue for the wool sales, which open on Thuisday, is not likely to be very large, growers being inclined to hold back for an improvement in the English mar- - ket. |
