The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,085,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,020,000 quarters. Stocks and shares are unchanged. ' Lead.— The imports for October were x 81,972 tons, including 8480 Australian ; and "the exports 4179 tons. At the tallow sales, 1650 casks were offered and 1300 sold. Mutton: Fine, 28s 6d; medium, 26s 9d. Beef: Fine, 28s; medium, 26s 6d. , November 16. The "Bank of England returns show the stock of gold, coin, and bullion to ba £30,147,000, and the reserve- £20,249,000. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 43.75. The total notes in circulation is £29,444,000 ; public deposits, £6,764,000 ; other' deposits, ' £39,344,000 ; Government securities, £18,945,000 ; other securities. £24,812,000. Three months' bills are discounted at 4 per cent.
