Wheat. — The demand is not -so brisk "as it was, buyers in the meantime holding ofi the market We quote: Bost velvet, 2s 6d to 2s 7id; medium, 2s 3d to 2s sd; best Tuscan, 2s 6d to 2s 8d; medium, 2s 3d to 2s sd; fowl wheat, Is lid to 2s Id. Oats: The demand has been quiet during the week, and forced sales having been made prices are much easier. We quote : Best feed, Is 5d to Is 5Jd ; medium and inferior, Is 2d to Is 4id; Sutherlands, Is Gd per bushel. Barley : TheTe is little business passing. Feed sorts are quoted at Is 3d to Is 6d, milling, Is 6d to Is lOd; prime malting, 2s 3d to 2s Gd; Lakes, 3s' to 3s 3d for primest samples, but medium qualities are only saleable at low prices. Ryecorn, "nominally, 2s to 2s 3d. Maize, 3s bushel. Prussian blu^ peas, 4s 6d bushel. Scotch and English tares,. 5s 6d ppr bushel. Flour: We quote £6 10a. Oatmeal in 25' s, £9 10s. Pearl barley, £10 10s. Bran, £3 10s. Pollard, £4. Nelson hops are quoted at lOd to lid (f.0.b.). Chaff: Prime, £2 7s 6d to £2 10s ; medium, £2 to £2 ss. Ryegrass : Buyers £2 5s to £2 12s 6d. Ryegrass:' Btiyere' ideas of values are : For farmers' dressed, Is 2d to Is sd ; extra, to Is 9d ; machined, 2s to 2s 3d; extra, 2s 6d to 3s- per btfshel. We have a good inquiry. Horsehair, Is 2d to Is 4d. Sheepskins. — Crossbreds, 2s 3d to ss; extra, to 5s Gd. Lambskins, Is 4d to 2s 9d; extra, to 3s 4d. Pelts, 6d to 2s. We held our usual sale of skins on Tuesday, when there was a "good demand. Rabbitskins. — We offered a large catalogue this week, and, after good competition, cleared the lot at satisfactory prices. Summer, from 6d to 8d ; small, 3d to sd ; autmnns, 9d to lid ; early winters, ll?,d to 14d ; winters, 14d to 16d; selected, 16jd to 17<I per Ib. We have now erected a complete clovet-clean-
ing plant, and all our other machinery up-to'J date is the finest plant in the Southern Hemisphere. Farmers are invited to inspect. Pleasa consign to our siding.
