Tho annual meeting of the Peninstila A. and P. Society was held at Portcbc-110 on Saturday, when there were about 15 members present, Mr James Macandrew (piesident) being in the chair. The secretary (Mr R. Milne) gave a very satisfactory account of the year's ti.an&actioais. The books had not been audited, as ons of the auditors was ill, but this would bo done as soon as convenient. Mr James Macandrew was re-elected president, and most of the members of the old committee we">'e pgam appointed. The secretary leportecl that the new ground was fenced and p]?.nted with shelter trees. The question of ranking an entrance road was left in the har>d<s of the Ground Committee. "When this is completed there will be a small credit balance, which the committee consider very encouraging, after making arrangements for the new grounds, which weie much needed for ths con 1 fort of the public.
