The inspector was instructed to ccc what was required, and ienojt at next mooting. Messrs Nyhon and Black requested the board to have sonic repairs done on. tho load leading from Broad Bay to the Camp. The inspector was m&truoTed to give lvi estimate of the work required at next meeting. Accounts amounting to £268 37s were passed for payment.

Tho annual meeting of the Peninstila A. and P. Society was held at Portcbc-110 on Saturday, when there were about 15 members present, Mr James Macandrew (piesident) being in the chair. The secretary (Mr R. Milne) gave a very satisfactory account of the year's ti.an&actioais. The books had not been audited, as ons of the auditors was ill, but this would bo done as soon as convenient. Mr James Macandrew was re-elected president, and most of the members of the old committee we">'e pgam appointed. The secretary leportecl that the new ground was fenced and p]?.nted with shelter trees. The question of ranking an entrance road was left in the har>d<s of the Ground Committee. "When this is completed there will be a small credit balance, which the committee consider very encouraging, after making arrangements for the new grounds, which weie much needed for ths con 1 fort of the public. The society intend, to hold the °how on the new ground this j'ear. It might bs stated, for the information oi visitors to the show, ihti the new gioiiad is 0.1 the M^in load, (Til the Dfnedin side of the Portobel'o Hotel, and is convenient to the jetty. The show will probably be held on Saturday, 15th December.
