AN INDIAN TRIFLE.

Boil a tablespooniul of ground rice in half a pint of milk. Stir well, so that there are no lumxJS, add one tea spoonful of sugar and a few diops of vanilla essence, also the beaten yolk of an egg. When the rice is cooked allow it to cool, then put it in a glass dish. Slice two or three bananas on the top, sprinkle them with sugar and a few dro|3s of lemon juice, and over them spread a little whipped cream that is sweetened and flavoured with vanilla.
