HAWKE'S BAY.
Mr Turnbull, S.M., Napier, gave judgment for the defendant, with, costs, in the case of Ruscce v. Holt, in which plaintiff sought to recover moneys deducted from his wages for accident insurance during the last six years, 'lac decision was based on the ground that plaintiff raised no objection until he left Holt's employ, &o tacitly consenting, and that the Wages Protection Act was not retrospective, and did not f.pply to moneys paid before it came into force, such payments being until then expressly exempted from the operations of the Truck Act.
