THE DISPUTE IN THE MILLING TRADE.
This industrial dispute was then taken, the representatives present being Mr J. T. Crawford (on bohalf of the United Flour Millers, Enginedrivers, and Mill Employees' Union), and' Messrs D. M'Gill (P. M'Gill and Sons), A. Steven, and R. Love (representing A. Steven and Co., J. and T. Meek, and Fleming and Gilkison.
Mr Crawford intimated that the representative of the -union had returned from the country, and that all the employers had signed the agreement except three. The Chairman: I understand, then, that the great majority of the millers have signed, and that some few are making a difficulty. I suppose, under those circumstances, we must treat the award as not having been accepted by all thope who were cited. This dispute was consequently referred to th-e Arbitration Court, along with the previous one.
