Mr Sydney James informs me that he has forwarded to all non-totaiisato:- racing clubs and sports meetings whose piogianmies of racing events have heretofore been passed by the Dunedin ."ioekey Club forms for registration of their clubs or associations. This. is rendered necessary by a new rule, 165b, which will come into, force next season. It is important that these forms should be returned by the i&t June, to be placed with the metropolitan dub's recommendation thereon before the Racing Conference to meet in July, as clubs, committees, associations, and horses taking part in a non-registered body will be absolutely discrualiSed, and the Dunedin Jockey 'Club has not power to pa&s the programme of a nonregistered body, nor to remove disqualifications that may ensue.
