COURSING.

OAMARU PLUMPTON. The Oamaru Plumpton is now completed on the racecourse, two miles from Oamaru, and the contract is now out for hares, five or six being already on the ground. The stake will be held either on the 2nd and 3rd or the 9th and 10th of May, and the stake will be worth £50 at least guaranteed to the winner, and may reach £70. There are 10 looseboxes on the ground, and everything to suit coursing men, and all necessary arrangements will be made to place visitors on a good footing, their wants being the first wish of the committee, who expect fully 40 runners. Mr O. R. Wise, hon. secretary, announces by advertisement in this issue that he is prepared to receive nominations, and that the fourth payment is due on March 1.
