How Johnny Won his Bet.

A ceitain gentleman, having a son who was in the habit of betting, did all in his power to try to cure him. Hearing of a night school that was poms; lo be opened in the village, he thought it a capital plan to get his son to go. Oiw evening, as Johnny and his father were alone, the father said, "Now, John, J hear we are to have a night school in our village, and I should -very much like you to commence poing.
