At Tofcara some farmers are already stacking their grain. Others have comme7iced threshingn q- out of the stook. The crops on the Waiareka Flat are looking splendid this year, and in some paddecks the wheat is expected to thresh 60 bushels to the acre.

The initiatory steps have been taken to establish a dairy factory on. the Government reserve on the Ardgowan estate, and it is expected that the factory will be built in a few months.
