A MINING DISPUTE.
KALGOORLIE, November 21.
The alluvialists, in the presence of a large -crowd, continued the' removing of the washdirt. A strong body of police arrived and arrested 15 members of the crowd, -who made a hostile demonstration at the police station. A few stones were thrown, when the constables fixed bayonets, and kept the crowd at bay.
PERTH, November 21.
There is excitement at Kalgoorlie at the removal of the 16 alluvial diggers arrested yesterday to Fremantle. A specially-ar-ranged Police Court was called. It then transpired that the men were sent away unknown to their counsel. Father O'Goranan, who has been acting as intermediary pn behalf of the diggers, protested in the name of British justice against the way the amen were dealt with. The magistrate cut jbim short by referring him to the proper kuthorities. A bodyguard of 500 accompany ..Malachi Dyer, the diggers' leader, fearing tie police will trjr to arrest him.. .
