The Emperor of Germany landed at Portsmouth. He received a gieat reception.

, Eight British torpedo destroyers escorted the Emperor pf Germany's yacht Hohenzollern", while a special squadron saluted at Spithead. The Duke of Connaught welcomed the Royal party at Portsmouth, and the Queen and Prince of Wales received them at Windsor.
