A SIGNIFICANT BELIEF. PARIS, November 14. The Budget Committee favours a large increase of -the navy vote. M. Camille Peletan, the Radical Socialist Deputy for Bouches-du-Rhone, and champion of economy, has been converted to the" necessity of the increase. He admits that war with Great Britain is possible, though lis does not greatly fear it will .occur.
j The Christchurch Gas Company has imported a number of Bellamy's patent street lanterns, of which over 8000 are in use in I4yerpool.
