James John applied to bo allowed to withdraw his former application for transfer allotment 29, Maerewhenua estate. — Agreed to. Consideration of application by D. G. Gunn for occupation lease -over seven acres upon small grazing run 2*23g, Tiger Hill; also to haye 48 acres upon run QS3c, same district, set aside as a camping reserve, was deferred till next meeting. The proposed expenditure by Clutha County Council of " thirds " and " fourths " for period October 31, 1898, to January 28, 1899, waa approved.
