R L. C. — The ailment affecting your colt is generally caused by a sprain of the tendon (peiforatus) as it passes over the hock joint. In severe cases the ligament underneath it may be involved. Give him rest, and apply cooling lotions until the heat disappears, then apply a blister, which it may be necessary to repeat.
