SALE OP PORTION OP WAIMEA ESTATE.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co, report having held an auction sale at their Gore Horse Bazaar, on Thursday, the 6th inst., of those portions of the Waimea estate, known as the Wantwood, Mount Peel, and Croy- j don block, and Waimea River paddocks, containing in _alj, 35,439 acres. There was a good attendance arid fair competition for all agricultural land, every lot of this class being sold at prices that must be considered fair, taking into account the present low pricea of agricultural products. There were however, no buyers present for the pastoral country, although what was offered is admittedly some of the finest sheep country in Southland.
This is now all for sale, at the upset prices, and as these are very reasonable, it cannot fail shortly to find buyers. The following is the result of the tale: —
