THE GRAVE OF THREE.
Peacefully, tranquilly, Under tho tree, In tho dark house of death Slumber the three. Safe as tho vessels moor'd In a deep bay, Husbalid, wife, HttJo one, Wait the great day. Cheerfully, hopefully, Over their. tomb- - Chime the church bells at night, Piercing the gloom. When through the drooping boughs Day glimmers bright, Birds and bees sing to them Songs of delight. Lovingly, tenderly, O'er their smooth bed, Her own Rrpen coverlet Nature doth spread; Red and white roses, rear'd O'er the sweet sod, Look with clear eyes of faith. Upward to God! —H. J. B. March 1890. [
