OTAGO GOLF CLUB.

The monthly competition for the St.Andrew's Cross was played on Saturday on the abovp links. The game was aguinsi, " bogey," and there were 26 competitors, -which speaks well for the interest taken in golf, stfeing- that the afternoon was by no means dry oveihead or under foot. Notwithstanding this some good scores were made, and when the cards were handed in it was fou.id that three players had tied for first place with three holes" up against the colonel — viz , Mr R. T. Wheeler, jun. scratch, Mr H. Price nine handicap, and Mr G. Roberts 12 handicap. The tie will be played off next Saturday.
