THE SOUDAN.

A DERVISH DEFEAT. CAIRO, October 24. Reports from the Soudan state that Abdul Rahman Ahammer, a chief friendly to the British, defeated a force of dervishes in the Omdurman district, and captured the Khalifa's cousin (Saleh Hamadon) and ten Emirs. October 31. The dervishes, under Abdul Fedel, were again defeated at Gedareff, and are now trying to effect a retreat up the Blue Nile.
