THE CAPE ELECTIONS,
CAPETOWN, August 22. At the elections Mr W. P. Schreiner (cx- .-. aorney-general) was re-elected. Sir Henry Juta (the Speaker) and the Hon. P. H. Faure (Minister for Agriculture) were defeated. ! It is expected that the Afrikander Bund will have a majority of five in the new Assembly. August 23. .\* <:\.f! elections the Afrikander Bund gained tour more seats, and will probably have a majority of ten. - ■
