Donald Reid and Co. report that prices ruled as under at, their auction sale on Monday : — Oats. — We offered a catalogue of medium to good feed. Competition being weak, we passed the bulk in tor private sale. We quote: Prime milling, 2s 2d .to 2s 4£d , good to best feed, 2s Id to 2s ljd ; medium, Is lOd to 2s per bushel extra). Wheat. — We sold good whole fowl wheat ut 3s to 3s 2d; inferior, at 2s to 2s 6d per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes. — We offered a good selection, which met with fair competition, but at slightly x>duced valuo. Best Dcrwents sold at £6 10s to £6 16s; others, £5 to £6 5s per ton (sacks in). Chaff. — The market is over supplied. We offered 60 tons, which sold at, for best oaten •sheaf, £3 7s 6d to £3 10s, medium to good, £3 to £3 5s per ton (bags extra). Messrs Dalgety and Co. (Limited) report having held their usual weekly auction sple. Oats. — The demand was again slack, with values about on a par with those ruling last week. Good to best feed, 2s Id to 23 ljd; fair to medium, Is lid to 2s; inienor, Is 7Jd to Is 10d. Wheat. —We offered several lines of fowl feed, which sold up to 3s Id. Chaff. — The market is overstocked with light and inferior, which is vpry hard to place. Prime, however, still meets with good demand at from £3 7s Gd to £3 12s 6d ; fail to medium £3 to £-3 ss. Potatoes. — The market is still well supplied, and prices to-day showed a further decline. Prime Northerns sold at from £6 12s 6d to £6 16s; Southern*, from £0 to £6 7s 6d.
