Daring the past week a friesdlr niatoh was played by the above club sg&insfc five members of the North OUg> Golf Club. Unfortunately the links were partially covered with snow, and this tended to make tte g*me somewhat try ing t as, besides the inoonvenience of wending through the enow, there was great difficulty in finding the ball. Singles wete played in the morning and foursomes in the afternoon, and though the visitors were unsuccessful in both matches they played well under such disadvantageous weather, coupled with the fact that the links were new to mosfe of them. 7 0 On Saturday afternoon the monthly competition for the St. Andrew Cross was played, the game being against Colonel Bogey,. Considering the snow that had fallen eailier in the week, tbe links were in very good oider, and it was fomawhat tiuprisir-g to find when the cards were handed in from 2A competitors that only one player (Mr R.
