The secretary of the Couferecca of the New Zealand Trotting Clubs has received a communication from the Colonial Secretary approving of the proposed allocation tf tolalisator licenses, with the following exception? :— New Brighton, one license inttc-ad of t.vc, tho question of a second license being reserved for future consideration ; Timaru, aa the amount of stakes (£105) and lofcaliaator investmocta (£250) at the last meeting were so small it is not proposed to grant a licecss to that rlub ; one licenre allotted to the Pslmetxton North will not be is3ued unless all outstanding liabilities are discharged and the club placed on a a, satisfactory basis - financial and otherwise. The following is the list of licenser', subject (o the fo'e^oing condition?: — South Island: Canterbury Trotting Ciub, 3 ; Lancaster Park, 2 ; New Biighton, 1 ; Plumpton P«k, 2 ; A«abuiton, 1 ; Tahnna Park, 3 ; Greymouth, 2 ; Nelson, I;—total,1 ;— total, 15. North Island : Auckland, 3 ; Ofc&huhu, 1 ; Palmerston Nortb, 1 ; Hawke'a Bay, 2 ; Hawera, 1 ; Wellington, 2 ; Mssterlcn, 1; -total, 11.
