LICENSES FOR TROTTING CLUBS.

The secretary of the Couferecca of the New Zealand Trotting Clubs has received a communication from the Colonial Secretary approving of the proposed allocation tf tolalisator licenses, with the following exception? :— New Brighton, one license inttc-ad of t.vc, tho question of a second license being reserved for future consideration ; Timaru, aa the amount of stakes (£105) and lofcaliaator investmocta (£250) at the last meeting were so small it is not proposed to grant a licecss to that rlub ; one licenre allotted to the Pslmetxton North will not be is3ued unless all outstanding liabilities are discharged and the club placed on a a, satisfactory basis - financial and otherwise.
