DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.

The monthly meeting of the committee of the Dunediu Jockey Club, held on Thursday, was attended by Messrs H. Gourley (vice-pretident, in Ih? chft'i 1 ), Taggarh, Coi-ghlau, Short, Myers, Msenan, Gcindley, and M-l'er. Apologies were rtcuived for the absence of Messrs Sinclair Thomson and Solcmcn.

Gentlemen riders' certificates were granted to filesars J. R. Sewell, H. J. Gourley, and Albert E. Ward.

The Secretary reporled that on account of the recent wot weather all work on the plough gallop had been stopped, and ihat there were many places where the wattr lodged. He was now having the plough put thoroughly in order, and abont 120 loads of scil had been caited on ifc. After this had been spread and broken up the whole would be rfploughed and would be ready for woik in about 14- daya it the weather permitted. It was resolved that the training fees for the season hi fixed at £2 per horse, payable halfyearly in advance, and that no person or horse wfcosc name appeared on the unpaid forfeit list should be allowed to train on the club's ground at any time.
